This past holiday season inspired many of the ALEX AND ANI retail associates to find ways to give back in their own communities. Teams across the country worked with Charity by Design and local non-profit organizations to plan volunteer opportunities, collection drives and in-store initiatives to make a positive impact in their area.
Below we highlighted the wonderful efforts of the retail teams from Salt Lake City, Rochester and Buffalo. Thank you to everyone who helped make the holiday season brighter for people everywhere!
_____
ALEX AND ANI Salt Lake City
Last month, members of our retail team in Salt Lake City, Utah volunteered at the Ronald McDonald Room at Primary Children’s Hospital. A team of ten cooked a Mexican themed lunch and were able to connect with the families that were staying there. Most of them were hoping and praying that their little ones would be home in time for Christmas.
They shared a touching story that one man was there with his son, Ian, who suffered a traumatic brain hemorrhage that doctors said would cost Ian his life. Ian’s brain injury happened while the two of them were playing. After he opened up to the ALEX AND ANI team, it was clear that many people there just needed someone to talk to. The team enjoyed their experience at the Ronald McDonald Family Room and getting the chance to provide food and nourishment to those in need, helping them realize that we can provide so much more.
ALEX AND ANI Rochester
This holiday season, our retail staff in Rochester, New York created a month of giving to benefit the community in their area. The teams took part in many opportunities such as hosting a collection drive for the Verona Street Animal Society, taking part in the company-wide Marine Toys for Tots Drive and sending hand written cards to recently deployed service men on the U.S.S Oscar Austin. Thank you, Rochester, for the impact you made this holiday!
ALEX AND ANI Buffalo
In an effort to support the American Red Cross this holiday season, the retail team in Buffalo, New York volunteered with the disaster relief teams to help restock their trailers (feature image). Many of the disaster shelter trailers were used during the snow storm in November, so the team was utilized in helping count inventory of what was used in the trailers. In the time they were there, four trailers were restocked. Thank you, Buffalo!
